Liam Collier.
Business advisory at BDO first, working with owner operated and mid market businesses with revenue up to US$100M: forecasting, reporting, and helping owners understand the numbers behind their decisions.
Then the other side of the table. I ran the finance function of a 130 person law firm: cash, management reporting, profitability and owner decision support. That is where it became obvious how few owner run businesses ever get someone doing that job.
Then my own firm. I started Infraxus working with Australian and New Zealand businesses, as a fractional CFO to companies up to US$20M in revenue and as the bookkeeper for owner run businesses that wanted one person across both. Some of those clients I have worked with for years. I moved to New York and launched Infraxus from there, and the US company followed.
The bookkeeping was referral only for years. I never marketed it, because the manual work used to take too long to offer at a fair fee. My systems now do the bulk of the routine in minutes, and I do the part a person is still needed for: the judgment, and telling you what the numbers mean before you have to act on them.

“Liam rebuilt our budget from the bottom up and restructured the ledger so we could actually see delivery margins and where payroll was really going… The reporting was genuinely useful: true cash position after obligations, utilization by consultant, and straight commentary on what needed a decision each month. Always delivered on time, no fuss, and having clean numbers made life easier when the business changed hands.”
